Ephesians 2
Salvation is by grace
you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience,
among whom also we all once lived in the desires of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature children of wrath, even as others.
But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),
and raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
to show in the coming ages the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
not of works, lest anyone should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
The Gentiles and Jews are united by God through the cross of Christ
Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, called the Circumcision made by hands,
stable at that time without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace, who of both people made one; and knocking down the wall of separation that was in the middle in his flesh the enmity,
ie, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, for to make in himself, of twain one new man, so making peace,
and the cross to reconcile them both to God in one body, having slain the enmity;
and he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near;
For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God's family,
built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
