SALMS 3

1 Lord, my adversaries are many!

Many rebel against me!

2 There are many who say concerning me:

"God will never save you!"

3 But you, Lord,

you are the shield that protects me;

You are my glory.

and make me walk with my head held high.

4 I cry unto the Lord with a loud voice,

and from his holy mountain he answers me.

5 I lie down and sleep, and I wake up again,

because it is the Lord who sustains me.

6 The thousands that surround me do not scare me.

7 Arise, O Lord!

Save me, my God!

He breaks the chin of all my enemies;

bare the teeth of the wicked.

8 The deliverance comes from the Lord.

Your blessing is upon your people.
